Julie Maines - Tattoo Artist

I am Julie Maines, and I work in the Goldsboro Studio. I was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and have traveled all over the world. My father was in the military, and his travels took me to Japan and the Philippines. My love for travel enticed me to join the United States Air Force. My seventeen-year career took me to Texas, Myrtle Beach, Okinawa, and finally to Goldsboro, where I retired in 1995.

I am married to "Country" Maines and a mother of two beautiful twin daughters. I have a love for the arts and since arriving here in Goldsboro in 1988, I have taken many art classes at Wayne Community College. I started tattooing early in 1997, and served my apprenticeship under Garry. I love to draw, make various crafts, and have a love for Harley drag racing. To me, tattooing is the truest way to express my love and desire for the arts. It allows me the freedom to be myself and instills a sense of pride knowing that someone trusts me to leave my expressions on their body.
